Boston Harbor Clean Up
It took a lot of time and it took a lot of work
$3.8 billion is sure to make you smirk.
When Mr. Golden stepped in sew-age it became a reason to sue
Cleaning up the harbor was not easy to do
And now the clean beaches are all like new.
It was embarrassing to show
The slime just had to go!
On days past when you might have hoped to swim
You might not have even wanted your pet or boat to go in.
There were not as many whales to watch
Even they wanted to stay away a notch.
As did the shell fish who like clean water
And ducks had no choice but to wonder.
Plants weren't healthy either
It was hard for them to breathe here.
Deer Island's egg-shaped structures are here to stay
To help with sewage problems so we can all just play.
We're no longer the dumpster Dirtiest Harbor in America
Instead we're a new Great American Jewel.
Now everything is better, no more need to fretter.
From Dorchester to East Boston, this place is awesome!
There's now 43 miles of Harbor Walk
No this is not just talk.
It's for pets, people and plants to enjoy.
Take a walk or stay and play
Boston Harbor has lot of reasons to say
Hey don't delay, instead go see it all on your way!
