MWRA's discharge permit requires extensive water quality testing to ensure that we comply with the federal Clean Water Act.

Measurements include nutrients, pathogens, solids, and the health of fish and shellfish in the water and sediments of Boston Harbor, and Massachusetts and Cape Cod Bays.
