STEM at MWRA
Plant stems are green
Leafy and smalI
But this kind of STEM
Doesn’t mean that at all
S as in science
Is used in ways you can’t imagine
At MWRA
Science is when
You try and fail
Tinker and tweak
Until at last...
It works!
The water system
At MWRA
Was made with science
No way!
T as in Tech
Or technology I guess
Is creating devices
To improve lives
Everyday
When MWRA
Needs to test their water
Tech comes in handy
Yay!
E as in Engineering Like engineers
Solve problems
We thought
Might never appear
When MWRA
Needed buildings and sorts Engineers all over
Went right with their wrenches
And built
Hooray!
Finally, M as in math
Yes, long division
Assists science
Like a sidekick on a mission
Math measures out
Problems of any kind
Distances, Angles
And even time
So MWRA
Really needs STEM
Or the Boston Harbor might still be dirty
Wakefield might not have clean water
The pipes would be broken, the buildings a mess!
And STEM can do anything
In the right hands
The world could be changed
All for the better!
