Major Improvement Projects

The MWRA has developed an Integrated Water Supply Improvement Program to improve the reliability and quality of the water we supply, and to meet all the stringent requirements of the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. This program includes projects in five critical areas:

Watershed Protection
Water Treatment
Transmission and Reliability: MetroWest Water Supply Tunnel
Covered Water Storage
Distribution Pipeline Rehabilitation
