Come join us for a day of FREE fishing, food and fun at Deer Island on June, 3, 2023 from 10:00am to 2:00pm!
- Learn how to fish for and identify striped bass and winter flounder with the Massachusetts Division of Marine FisheriesDivision of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife), and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (Rods and other supplies provided)
- Meet National Park Service Rangers and be sworn in as an *official* Boston Harbor Islands Junior Ranger
- Play games, color, and learn “what not to flush” from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA)
- Learn about Boston Harbor’s biodiversity and meet *real crabs* with Save the Harbor/Save the Bay
- Learn from a professional chef how to prepare fresh fish during a live cooking demonstration
- Enjoy a picnic with a view, either homemade or from a food truck on site
- Explore the trails of Deer Island on your own
- Discover other exciting Boston Harbor Islands Anniversary events coming this season!
