At the urging of Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be rescheduling work that was planned to continue through this summer along the Mystic Valley Parkway. The work area is adjacent to the Condon Shell, which is also the location of the Farmer’s Market.
MWRA’s contractor will continue with the work until the end of April, then suspend the work until October. This will ensure that parking will be available for the Farmer’s Market and planned concerts at the Condon Shell during the summer.
The work is replacing valves that control water pressure and will improve water pressure to MWRA’s northern service area, including Medford.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact MWRA Community Relations Manager, Jeffrey McLaughlin at (617) 839-9108 or jeffrey.mclaughlin@mwra.com, or or call MWRA’s 24-hour water phone line at 617-305-5950.
