MWRA Water Leak Repair Work in Stoneham May Affect Traffic

MWRA is performing a water leak repair on Section 70 at 2 Lynn Fells Parkway, Stoneham in the road in front of the Super Petroleum gas station near Jerry Jingle Park and J. J. Grimsby's restaurant. This work will take approximately two weeks to complete and may temporarily affect local traffic.

To repair the pipe, a pine plug will be pushed into the hole where the pipe is leaking while the line is live. A welded cap or plate will placed over the plug.

Discolored water is not anticipated. If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in local pipes. Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used.
