Introducing Taylor and Julia - Deer Island’s Peregrine Falcon Chicks |
|||||
High atop the egg-shaped digesters at the Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant, a pair of nesting Peregrine Falcons have finally become parents. Two chicks, both female, were hatched about 4 weeks ago. They were named Taylor and Julia by Joe Duplin, Shift Operations Manager at the plant. Joe has been trying to get a pair of falcons to nest for about 12 years. ### |
