A Boston Globe editorial praises the taste, price and environmental benefits of MWRA's tap water:

"Water: No place like home - Greater Boston residents who love to gripe about the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority should spend some time on the road. After a few weeks with the chemical taste of other municipalities, they would find themselves parched for the local drink. No, not Sam Adams, but rather that superlative natural product known as Quabbin Reservoir H20. As the MWRA proudly notes, the Quabbin is one of only six surface reservoirs in the country where the water is so clean that it doesn't require filtration. So do both your wallet and the environment a favor: Forgo purchased water and instead treat yourself to a water bottle of Boston's best."
