MWRA WATER HOLDS ITS OWN AGAINST BOTTLED
Taste test shows price is all that separates them

In an August interview about the opening of MWRA’s new John J. Carroll ozone water treatment plant, MWRA Executive Director Frederick A. Laskey claimed he would put our water up against any bottled water.
Last week, Laskey accepted a challenge from the Boston Globe to put his money where his mouth is. Laskey and 3 other connoisseurs participated in a taste test at Les Zygomates Wine Bar & Bistro in Boston.
The result: all the experts agreed “that there was essentially no difference between bottled and tap water.”
